M and M Cookies
If you need something sweet for the kids to snack on, they will love this recipe. They will even enjoy helping you make the cookies. Quick and easy and does not cost that much to make.
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup and 2 tablespoon sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup plain M and M's
Blend shortening and brown sugar. Beat in vanilla and egg.
Sift flour, salt and baking soda into the sugar mixture. Mix well.
Stir in M and M's.
Drop mixture by the teaspoon on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
